Below FAQ are some common concerns of our clients before purchasing our products.
If you have other questions, please just send it to info@orchid.love.
We import fresh orchids from Thailand at least twice a week, ensuring that our customers receive the freshest products available.
For many of our products, we can accommodate shipping within 3-5 days, directly from our Los Angeles facility. However, for certain items, we place orders with our partnered farms to ensure we get your flowers on the next available flight to the USA. Our priority is to provide you with the freshest flowers possible, which is why we may require 7-10 days to have the orchids cut, packed, and shipped.
Once an order is received, we plan the shipping right away. You can select preferred delivery dates, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Standard shipping for some products takes 3-5 days, while others may require up to 10 business days to ensure freshness. Our products are shipped in breathable cardboard containers, clearly labeled to ensure proper temperature care during transit
Orchids are shipped in breathable, insulated containers to protect them from extreme temperatures during transit. Since orchids are sensitive to heat and cold, we work closely with our shipping partners, like FedEx, to ensure proper handling. When necessary, we include elements like cooling packs to maintain optimal conditions inside the box. Our shipping times from Los Angeles to other parts of the country are generally fast, minimizing the risk of exposure to extreme weather.
Loose Blooms: Once you receive your orchid delivery, it’s best to open the package and either mist the flowers with a spray bottle or run them under cool water in the sink. Shake off any excess water, then place the flowers back in a covered container or plastic bag with small holes for airflow. Store them in a cool area, ideally in the produce section of your fridge. Avoid exposing the orchids to extreme cold or freezing temperatures. For fresh 50-count blooms, you can keep them in their plastic box and store it in the fridge, or open the box and transfer them to a container. For stemmed orchids, trim a small section of the stem at a diagonal and, if still in transit or awaiting an event, refill the water capsules and reattach them to the stems. For leis, spray them lightly with water, place them in a plastic bag, and store in a cool place until use. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
Stemmed Orchids: Ensure their water capsule is full and transfer them to a vase as soon as possible. Refresh water regularly.
Loose Blooms are individual orchid flowers trimmed from their stems and placed in breathable plastic boxes to maintain freshness during transport.
Our orchids come fresh from the farms of Thailand and have been exposed to minimal chemicals. While we are working closely with our partner farms in Thailand to develop an edible orchid product, we want to make it clear that these orchids, though safe, are not edible and should not be consumed. They are perfect for garnishes and decorative purposes, but we don't recommend eating them (and they don't taste great anyway!).
Stemmed orchids can last 1-2 weeks, with some varieties lasting up to 3 weeks or more! To prolong their lifespan, ensure the water capsule is full, trim the stem, and place the orchids in a vase with fresh water and a small amount of flower food. If the orchids are being used for a special event, wedding, or photoshoot, be sure to store and care for them properly up until the day of the event.
Dendrobium and Mokara orchids are two popular varieties, each with unique characteristics. Dendrobium orchids are known for their delicate blooms and longer lifespan, typically lasting longer than Mokara orchids. Mokara orchids, on the other hand, have a more vibrant appearance with thicker, waxy petals, making them great for striking arrangements. Both are beautiful, but Dendrobiums tend to stay fresh for a longer period.
A Single Lei is made with a single strand of thread, fitted with around 50 loose orchid blooms and looped into a lei. A Double Lei features two strands woven together, using over 100 loose blooms to create a much thicker lei. Both leis are the same length, but the difference lies in the thickness and the number of flowers on display
If your blooms arrive in poor condition, we offer a refund. Please provide documentation and photos so we can assess the issue. Keep in mind that fresh flowers require proper care, and exposure to extreme heat or cold—such as being left on a porch all day—can cause damage. To prevent this, it's best to ensure someone is available to accept the delivery on the scheduled day.
